Practical Prose of Harry Potter #32

“The thing is, it helps when people stand up to them, it gives everyone hope. I used to notice that when you did it, Harry.” (Harry Potter: The Complete Collection, 3947)

Prior evidence boosts one’s belief. It is so much easier to do something once you know that it’s been done before. Just like the influx of successful summits after Edmund Hillary finally reached the top of Everest. Sometimes though, we have to be trailblazers like Harry or Edmund, and do the thing for the first time without inspiration from others.
